Have you seen this GOP straw poll results? Pretty comprehensive.. click the link to see the results.
Samantha.. thanks for bringing up Ron Paul's name, and thanks for donating to Ron Paul's campaign.. whatever your motives may be.. but Thanks!
Samantha Stickers replied: "God, you guys are even spamming wikipedia. Have you no shame?
I notice that the only reference for these straw polls is a Ron Paul blog. Someone would have to be pretty stupid to fall for this kind of a sham.
On the other hand, Ron Paul is only trying to appeal to Republicans so maybe it will work. In any case, in the interest of screwing up the Republican party, I just contributed to the Ron Paul for president campaign. He now has 6 supporters in Massachusetts. Go Ron Paul!"
skycat replied: "That goes to show you that people are getting tired of dishonest politics and leaning toward candidates with less money from special interest. Romney fades as people wise up.
This must be happening on the dem side as well.
Sure hope this election year teaches special interest and big money a lesson and people like Hillary to Romney are ignored. Luckily Guiliani is already beginning to fade away because his lack of defense toward the consititution is beginning to show.."
regerugged replied: "Straw polls mean nothing. Votes in elections are the only things that count."
J 1 replied: "Vote Mitt Romney!"
Joe S replied: "Yea. Coincidentally, without having seen your question, I used the site in another answer:
The summaries at the bottom are most informative, in my opinion."
anyusmoon1 replied: "Hmmm I don't know what to believe after reading that. I was under the impression (I'd have to dig up the source and text ) Paul has won 18 of 33 straw polls.
According to the results of your post Ohio is extemely weak.
Very interesting. Thanks."

I would suggest to all the Ron Paul doubters out there to take a good look at the results:
[edit] Here is a link to read about how Ron Paul stands on the 'main' issues:
He has been a member of congress for 31 years.
guffeetax replied: "This is the first I have heard of it. I went to the Paul website to check out his stand on issues, I found it less than telling on the important issues of today. I know it is not just your candidate, none of them want to commit to anything when they don't have to.
If Ron Paul wants to restore and repair the Constitution, has he supported the Feingold impeachment of Chenney? Now that will show he is serious about the Constitution.
If Ron Paul wants to be President of the United States of American where does he stand on:
Torture
Geneva Convention
Global Warming
Oil Addiction/Alternative fuels
Universal Heath Care
Immigration
Darfur
Iran
Imperial Presidency
Transparent Government of the People"
jessica m replied: "This made my day, I am so seriously excited for the first time in my life about politics. Finally we have an honest politician.
Washington needs a doctor, and he is our man. Go Dr. Ron Paul!!"
che_leo replied: "Meaningless. This poll was conducted via email with users who frequent freedomworks.org.
This would be like conducting a "straw poll" on the Democratic primaries with registered users of hillaryclinton.com."
k X replied: "Yeah, hes doing very well.. Probably 3rd or 4th in the Republican race now.
The thing I like most about Ron Paul.. is you can tell he is answering questions honestly. He is not pandering, he's not being political.. he's telling you what he thinks.
Edit:
Elway_the_Cat: How about when he wins the Iowa straw poll? Will you believe then and support him?
The reason he does not show up in the opinion polls is two fold. 1) Ron Paul appeals to those that do not vote, those who think it does not matter, polls ask "are you a registered voter" disqualifying them. Before you write off this group, understand that it is larger than Democrats and Republicans combined. 2) The second big reason is opinion polls do not call cell phone numbers. Largely younger people are more likely to use only cell phones.
There are a few measurements that you can see REAL support. The average donation to the Ron Paul campaign is around $100, the average donation to the Rudy or Mitt campaign is the maximum $2400 .. So Ron Paul 2.4 mil represents around 40 million in Rudy or Mitt supporters."
Mildred S replied: "Thanks for posting. I have been intending to research this guy and I had not found the site yet and this was a good reminder ."
Elway_the_Cat replied: "Let me know when he gets any significant lift in national polls across the country. Until he does he stands no chance at taking the nomination or being elected. You are using a poll conducted by a website that polls the people who go to that website on a regular basis. Not exactly a model of independent polling is it? Also, let me know if you can find a President who took the election with 17,000 votes, wow, staggering lol."
Nicole J replied: "Sorry guttee Paul is a Republican not a socialist like you
There are only 3 choices in this election
THey are Duncan Hunter
Tom Tancredo
and yes Ron Paul
all others leave so much to be desired"

The above GOP debates continue with the link I provided with my question and go back to June 8, 2007 when the debates first began.
Here is how Ron Paul stacks up against the other candidates in the GOP debates:
Ron Paul's Head-to-Head Records (Ron Paul Win-Lose-Tie):
Ron Paul v. Rudy Giuliani 33-5-0
Ron Paul v. Mitt Romney 25-13-0
Ron Paul v. Fred Thompson 23-14-0
Ron Paul v. John McCain 34-3-0
Ron Paul v. Mike Huckabee 31-5-1
Ron Paul v. Sam Brownback 34-2-1
Ron Paul v. Tom Tancredo 35-1-0
Ron Paul v. Duncan Hunter 34-2-0
I wonder when the news media will start reporting the truth.
dirtbag #1 replied: "I did not log onto your link but when i saw Ron Pauls name in it i knew the answer to your question, his inability to get things done is self evident and why he is not a viable candidate for President."
mustagme replied: "Recounts, lazy employees, etc. The reasons are endless. One of the reasons it is NOT is a conspiracy theory, which Ron Paul supports seem to favor in everything."
Cpac straw poll results dissapointing? Does it point to trouble in conservative ranks? I'd hoped for a stronger result.palin Jindal or Romney even George Allen
Your Horns are Showing Morris. replied: "The only choices are people who have consistently lost...
sad."
Whatsup With It Vanilla Face? replied: "Conservatives are still 2-3 years away from picking a candidate so I'm not too worried about a a straw poll"
Critical_rationalist replied: "field was very crowded, and the vote was split. no one got more than 20%
interesting how well governors did as opposed to members of congress
SC gov Sanford should have gotten more"
... replied: "Ron Paul."
Sam Fisher replied: "everyone was okay except Rush...that guy, i hope he doesn't reflect the real conservative ideal because i am a conservative on some issues....he's just not right i'm sorry 2 say. Too much hate heat signals emit from his speech"
Back to fix "change" replied: "I wouldn't mind the younger side as a VP canidate, but to claim a youth movement is the last thing we need right now. Experience in fiscal matters is what should be the focus."
Lady B replied: "No it isn't disappointing. The economy is in trouble and Mitt has the most experience.
The straw poll results is just that a result, it isn't the answer and there will be many more candidates running for 2012."
zaza replied: "Romney was on top. Jindal and Palin were just down the list. Also, and very interesting, Ron Paul was nearly tied with Jindal and Palin. I believe Ron Paul is one of the few remaining conservatives who has even the slightest bit of honesty and vision.
Just my opinion."
Buck Ofama replied: "Yes, Huckabee has much more support than the rest, Remember he was very close to winning the primary"
T S replied: "Its too early, dont worry about it.
As much as I like George Allen and as unfair as it is, his career is over."
Christopher B replied: "I cannot enlarge that icon of yours but is that a Obama with a hitler moustache??? LOLOLOLOLO that's pretty funny, he certainly has a lot of people drinking the kool aid. I know Bush sounded like a dunce whenever he gave a speech so that is why Obama looks so good to people. He sounds very intelligent when he speaks but he also still speaks around HOW he's going to fix these problems we have."
ritchwilliams replied: "And Romney. All of which are conservative. What else would you have? Another 'Republican' like John McCain who is just 'conservative' enough to make Nancy Pelosi look moderate?"
butterflynblack replied: "You know, I am a democrat normally, but I liked Huckabee a lot, and I really liked Ron Paul. More people need to understand that because someone is a registered democrat, that doesnt mean they are totally liberal on all the issues. Just as because someone is republican, they are not totally conservative on all issues. I was looking at folks who could represent me, and I liked both those guys in the race. However, they both lost."
RLP replied: "Obama came out of nowhere so I'm not worried.
The insane liberal media will just attack anyone we push now anyway so I say we take our time finding the PERFECT candidate!"
Have you seen the AOL straw poll results after tonights debate? Obama -
Popular Vote = 76174 or 43%
Electoral Votes = 157
McCain -
Popular Vote = 94756 or 54%
Electoral Votes = 381

Karina replied: "I remember when Ron Paul was winning every state on the AOL poll."
Jim B replied: "I did not stay up for the straw poll but I watched the debate. Obama came out of it looking like the bumbling fool that he really is. He didn't have a tele prompter to tell him what to say!
Karina! You seem to be in love with Ahmadinegad I am sure that if you love him that much he would welcome you with open arms why don't you go to visit him. Also show me the 12 million dead that Allied forces have killed. If you look a little closer I think that you will find that 99% of them were killed by their own countrymen. The same in Iraq. Tell me what do you think you would do if you watched as some one strapped a bomb to your child's back and sent him to a crowd of Innocent people. What would you do if some one walked into your child's school and murdered every child in it? The reason being that the perpetrator did not want them to go to school! Yeah whether you believe it or not it happens frequently. What would you think if someone came into the church where you pray and murdered everyone inside simply because they were of a different religion than you? How would you like it if you were whipped without mercy simply because you dared to show your bare face in public. Wake up before it is too late!"
What do you think....http://www.ronpaul2008.com/straw-poll-results/? Do you think he will win the primaries? I think we (I mean HE) will win everyone one of them!
That was supposed to be a link to the straw poll results...lol...sorry it isn't working!
Pink...I want to know why you bother to respond to my questions about Ron Paul if his campaign doesn't matter...why do you keep trying to convince us to give up? If we are irrelevant...ignore us!
I prefer it if you did! I do not run around to other candidates questions telling them to "give it up!" I give them reasons why I do not like their choice in a candidate though!
As far as Straw Polls not meaning anything...I feel they are more accurate then Land line polls...you know...we do have new technologies down here in these here hills!
justanotherjoe replied: "Lets just say...........YES."
Robyn replied: "I hope so! He is gaing ground fast despite the fact he recives little media attenion. With so many people shearching for a better cannidate and trying to do their research this time, and the fact that his supporters have a faith in him that is quite contagious.....Yeah, he has a pretty good chance."
doug4jets replied: "Absolutely! Maybe not Iowa, but he has a good shot at NH. I just got a Ron Paul flyer on my front door!!!!
Go Dr. NO!!!
Exciting \o/"
pink1957girl replied: "STRAW POLLS ARE MEANINGLESS!!!!!!!
When are you guys going to realize that Paul has no hope of getting the nomination? I doubt he will even get a single delegate, let alone win any state! Please, get a grip on reality!
EDIT: Hey Robyn, how is he "gaining ground real fast?" with all the money that he has collected his poll ratings have increased about 3%. That's not gaining ground! That's barely treading water!"
gramma_arlene replied: "Is he the little, whiny guy who looks like Howdy Doody? He promises to make changes that no one could make, but they sound good so people believe him and send him money. Serious people don't take him seriously."
oracleofohio replied: "Very exciting. Can't wait to see what happens!"
doktrgroove replied: "He's got a strong grass roots thing going on but I don't think he'll win ALL of the primaries.
I voted for him the last time he ran for president as a libertarian."
What were the results from the Oregon GOP Straw Poll on October 6th? The poll was held yesterday (Saturday the 6th) in downtown Portland...
amnesty sucks replied: "does it really matter - they are meaningless.
I did find this article indicating Rudy is "looking strong."
EDIT: Hey "Pzych" blogs are opinion and anybody can post anything. News from the Associated Press is much more reliable than a pro-Paul blog. I really don't believe them."
Pzych replied: "Ron Paul 77 votes, 67%
Mitt Romney 18 votes, 16%
Fred Thompson 12 votes, 10%
Mike Huckabee 5 votes, 4%
Rudy Giuliani 2 votes, 2%
John McCain 1 vote, 1%
The blogs are just reporting numbers, and I haven't seen any numbers to the contrary. At least I check the dates on my sources...
Associated Press article:

why does the main stream media not report RON PAUL is leading the GOP in STRAW POLE RESULTS?? stone, this about straw poles, not internet poles, i dont be a hater, AMERICA DEMANDS RON PAUL, PLAIN AND SIMPLE!! but now that you mention it, he is winning the internet poles too
mustagme replied: "Straw polls don't mean much."
yeah_but_we_all_are replied: "Like the straw Poll he won in Iowa?"
beardog4314 replied: "Oh that's easy. They aren't reporting it, because it isn't true. NEXT!"
tx_trotter95 replied: "And what straw poll would that be? As if any of them really matter."
Twin Mama replied: "I feel your frustration, it's very annoying and sickening."
FootballFan1012 replied: "Because he isn't............................"
Shane B replied: "Because his platform is an exceptionally odd inside joke?"
Chris S. replied: "It's "poll," dude..."
Restore the Republic replied: "Because he is actually a leader who deserves to be President, not a puppet controlled by the military-industrial complex and CFR.
But fortunately, people are still intelligent enough to know about the merits of his candidacy. And the mainstream media is not main stream anymore.
So it doesn't matter what it reports. Ron Paul is going to win anyway."
jessisbeautiful replied: "You have Rupert Murdock (sp?) and all the other pieces of trash that own the media to thank for that.. They run it.. they want a canidate not for the people.. but the one who will further their own plots and plans... It's frusturating.. we have so many issues in the United States and we finally have a canidate that is going to stand up for us.... but this whole country is run on the basis of corruption and lies... what can we do?? unforunately the masses will listen to whats on televison.. don't forget this is a country that voted in Bush twice.. we can't expect much"
Thomas M replied: "They briefly mention it, but what these straw polls usually indicate is who has the most really hardcore supporters, not who has the most support in general. I think this is Paul's problem. He has about 3% of Republican who absolutely love him, and probably will vote for third parties if Paul loses the nomination, and almost no other Republicans plan to vote for him."
jswnwv replied: "Iowa Straw Exit Poll Final Results:

5th place my a s s!!!!!
And he has won the New Hampshire, Alabama and Washington state straw polls, but no mention from the MSM.
I wonder why?
"
tilly123 replied: "Not a lot of people care about the straw polls since some candidates don't even show up for them so it's not a complete analysis. We have horrible media coverage in this country also. If you want a more complete coverage look elsewhere. Paul is definitely gaining popularity though."
David D replied: "Because they are controled by evil people that want you to hear only what they want you to hear."
Joe S replied: "To the people saying he's not winning, did you even click on the provided link?
The media covered the Iowa straw poll because it:
1. was a huge event with over 14,000 people voting - a legitimate reason for giving it a lot of attention.
2. was a show supported by the big political movers (big money).
3. gave the result that they wanted.
Ron Paul did remarkably well in that poll given that the Iowa GOP itself predicted a last place showing. They have since taken this off of their website. Fortunately, the pertinent part of their site was saved here:
The media has not covered the other straw polls because:
1. they are relatively small.
2. no one is spending much money there.
3. they are not getting the results that they want to see."
Elway_the_Cat replied: "Because straw polls are essentially meaningless. Like the one bought and paid for in Iowa. But I can understand your frustration. He can't get above 3% in any national poll you can find so ya gotta cling to something, and I guess it's those straw polls. Good luck with that."
verybadkitten replied: "Because the media wouldn't know what to say at this point. The media endorsed war with the editorial space it gave to the voices of Clinton, Rove, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Bush, Rice and the one million copy cats that jumped on the Bush/Clinton Pyramid. The media's means to advertising funds was to endorse violence, and all who employ violence as their means of accomplishment, are obligated to lie. I'm sure the media talks plenty about Ron Paul in their conference rooms."
Stone K replied: "Because the media is not run by truther zombies who only go by Internet polls, that other truther zombies vote repeatedly in only to make it seem like their idiotic candidate is in the lead.
BTW the straw poll means nothing. never has never will. Get over it, your support of Ross Perot... I mean Ron Paul... is pointless.... he cant win, he won't win.
There are too many reasonable, intelligent people out there who know backing Ron Paul is like backing Marshall Applewhite. He might be charismatic and be selling something only crazy people could buy, but we know better than to drink anything he hands us.
ADD ON: LOL Internet polls are flooded by the same people repeatedly to bolster Ron Paul's numbers. Just because you vote 50 times does not mean 49 other real people will vote for him.
The straw poll? If you have a few bucks to pay for a vote you can vote. So if I gave 10000 people the entry fee needed to vote and had them vote for me does that mean I am in the lead for President? No! It means some damn fool was willing to shell out money for a vote that means NOTHING!
It is not hating, it is called being reasonable, intelligent and having an understanding how the system works, somethings the average Ron Paul supporter may want to invest in."
crucial_master replied: "The irony of these answers really cracks me up. Its a shame that people are hungry for more of the same empty suits blowing hot air while slowly but surely running this country into the ground. We have out of control debt, a financial system on the verge of collapse, a military that is being killed over NOTHING, rampant illegal immigrants, etc.....And you people want MORE of that? Jeez.
Its also ironic that these straw polls are the only evidence of people actually voting for an actual person yet I cant look at Yahoo without seeing a story about what Hillary had for lunch or what Obama's wife said yesterday. So THOSE are worth a story but actual people getting off their rearends to vote aren't?"
amnesty sucks replied: "Why do you supporters keep insisting that Paul won the Iowa Straw poll? Check his website. Even his people say he came in 5th! Please stop the lies. Ron Paul did not win the meaningless straw poll.
BTW, he has only about 3% of the vote in every legitimate poll. Youtube doesn't count as a legitimate group.
EDIT: Hey "jswnwv" stop the lies! Those are NOT the results!"
Heart And Troll replied: "Ron Paul can't run a corner drug store, much less the Executive Branch.
How successful has he been in getting his proposals through Congress, where they belong?
Not very? yep...and you think he'll do better in the White House, where he has to run the Executive Branch?"
Anyone seen the results from the Virginia GOP Straw Poll? Ron Paul (38%)
Fred Thompson (23%)
Mike Huckabee (11%)
Rudy Guiliani (9%)
Mitt Romney (9%)
John McCain (5%)
Duncan Hunter (4%)
Tom Tancredo (<1%)
This ws not online, it was live and in person votes.
I know how much freedom is worth
information_police replied: "Well, you know how much straw is worth.
I trust it was online and people could vote as many times as they wanted."
Edge Caliber replied: "Most straw polls are dominated by Paul, he is the real front runner in my opinion."
Brautman replied: "Yeah. Ron is always on top when it comes to SPs. The media down plays hims, but the general public says other wise."
ThomasS replied: "Very nice! Hopefully the momentum will keep gaining for Paul. I'm surprised that Tancredo did so poorly. Huckabee is also gaining as "an everyman" candidate, and Romney is starting to acknowledge him. For how much money Romney keeps dumping into these things, he does fairly poorly, if not the worst (dollar for vote).
Rudy is still riding on 911, and name recognition, the only thing going at this point. He should drop out, as most of the front runners have no chance against Hillary."
Avatar_defender_of_the_light replied: "Ron Paul will be out of the race long before it gets to Virginia."
